Jaipur, 26 April: Manipal University Jaipur hosted Chef Conclave 1.0, themed 'Millets: Innovation with the Golden Pellets,'. Organized by the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management in association with the Royal Rajasthan Chefs Society, the event aimed to bring together celebrity chefs, industry experts, enthusiasts, and students for insightful discussions and networking opportunities.
 
The event commenced with a traditional Rajasthani Safa ceremony, followed by the lighting ceremony, graced by Commodore (Dr.) Jawahar M Jangir, Pro President, Dr. Nitu Bhatnagar, Registrar, and distinguished guests, including Chef (Dr.) Manjit Gill, Chef Vijaya Baskaran, Chef (Dr.) Parvinder Singh Bali, and Chef Ajay Kumar Sood.
 
Notable highlights included a keynote speech on "Millet-Based Food Products and Culinary Innovations" by Chef (Dr.) Manjit Gill, as well as discussions on the cultural and traditional importance of millets by Chef Vijaya Baskaran. Panel discussions explored topics such as sustainability in the kitchen through millets and the acceptance of millets as a staple food.
 
The event also featured an open forum on career opportunities and branding in the culinary industry, providing valuable insights for aspiring chefs. The conclave concluded with a vote of thanks followed by a hi-tea session.
