Ashka Rao, along with Panel Advocates of DLSA Advocate Priyanka Acharya, and Advocate Prabha Agarwal. The Legal Awareness Camp was open to the public free of charge, and everyone was encouraged to attend and benefit from this.
The Legal Awareness Camp on Consumer Rights aimed to foster a deeper awareness of consumer rights among the villagers and underprivileged sections of society. This awareness helps people make informed choices and protect themselves from unfair practices in the market. The camps were organized for three different days. They raised awareness through interactive discussions about who qualifies as a consumer, what their rights are, and the importance of keeping receipts, among other topics. New dimensions of consumer rights in the online shopping scenario, the process for online complaints regarding consumer claims, and the availability of free legal services were also discussed. Pertinent questions related to land matters, domestic violence, water supply etc. were also raised by villagers. Through this camp the attention of ground reality was  brought to the notice of people in authority. The club intends to organise more such events in future for the disadvantaged.
